About Me

My name is Alyssa Gold and I am a pediatric occupational therapist that has been working in the field since 2013!

I have worked in a variety of different settings such as sensory gyms, preschools, private schools, in home therapy, nursing homes and rehab facilities. I work with kids with a variety of diagnosis including ADD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Sensory Processing Disorders, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders and chromosomal abnormalities. I use the Listening Program, Sensory Integration, Handwriting Without Tears, Keyboarding Without Tears along with other treatment modalities.

My approach to occupational therapy is looking at the child as a whole and determining their underlying difficulties. Using a multi- sensory approach, I individualize therapy to meet each child’s needs. I work closely with your child’s team including teachers, therapists and other outside providers. Parents and families play a key role in therapy to support the child outside of therapy sessions to meet their goals. I empower kids to reach their full potential and make therapy fun and engaging!

Alyssa was such a joy to work with! She helped my son improve his fine motor skills greatly, and he was always so excited to see her. Would definitely recommend!

Linda M, parent

Alyssa was great to collaborate with. She worked with one of my students and provided me with strategies on how to best support him in the classroom using a sensory diet. Ever since Alyssa started working with my student, he has made great strides in the classroom and we have seen improvement in his regulation and ability to complete schoolwork.

Caryn G, Public School Social Worker

Definitely work with Alyssa! She has been by my side to help with numerous concerns regarding milestones in the last 12 months. She always comes up with the best strategies and advice to ensure my daughter improves. She is personabable and is always there to answer any question I have. I could not reccommend her more!
